Sunshine Art Studios has provided high quality distinctive
greeting cards and stationery products to the American market since
1925. It has remained a family-owned and operated company with the
fifth generation of the family employed today.
Sunshine Art began in New York City in 1925 when
Edward and Willard Robbins, father and son, began selling greeting
cards through ads placed in national magazines and newspapers. Willard's
son, Ryland Robbins, joined the business after graduating from college
in the 1940s. In 1952, Sunshine Art Studios moved to facilities
in Springfield, Massachusetts, and in the early 1960s as the business
continued to expand, Sunshine built a 250,000 square foot manufacturing
facility in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Sunshine grew and began
manufacturing its own seasonal and everyday cards. William and Edward
Robbins joined the company in the late 70s and early 1980s.
The current owners, Helene Robbins Orsi and Dennis
Orsi, continue to develop the business today. In 2003, Sunshine moved
its main operations to a large facility housing both office and
manufacturing in Agawam, Massachusetts.
Nationally known for producing a full-featured line
of award-winning boxed and personalized greeting cards, Sunshine
Art Studios' talents are unparalleled in the industry. Its specialty
for over 75 years has been boxed and imprinted greeting cards.
